„Operation Herakles“: Schlag gegen Cyberkriminelle
BaFin, together with the Karlsruhe Cybercrime Centre, the Baden-Württemberg State Criminal Police Office, the Federal Network Agency and the Federal Criminal Police Office, reports on the further results of "Operation Herakles" against cyber investment fraud. Within three months 9,304 German phone numbers used for cyber trading fraud were switched off, bringing the total since the start of the operation to 13,888. The Federal Network Agency took supervisory measures against telecom companies, requiring them to strengthen compliance checks on distribution partners.

BaFin and Deutsche Bundesbank published the results of the 2026 stress test for less significant institutions (LSIs) and a parallel survey of 1,113 banks and savings banks. In the severe scenario, the aggregate CET1 ratio of LSIs would fall by about 3.8 percentage points to 14.6%, and several dozen institutions could fall below their capital requirements.
